We have a strong Community focus & are also regularly involved in various mental health initiatives.

LV Dohnt & Co are proud to be major sponsors of the Nangwarry Football and Netball Club; over the years, we have been involved in various initiatives, including fundraising, when the club rooms were sadly burnt down. On August 24, we received recognition for 60 years of sponsoring the club.
Blue Tree
As a mental health initiative, our Nangwarry team painted and relocated our “Blue Tree” in Nangwarry as part of are you ok day, employees were involved in obtaining the dead tree from our Vineyard in Coonawarra, sealing and painting it, workshop employees made a frame to secure it safely in the chosen area & also made a table and chairs so that people can now sit under our tree and enjoy a meal or drink with friends, which our employees do regularly on their breaks.
Social Club
We have an active social club where our employees enjoy varied activities including dinners, bowling, bus tours, snorkelling, mini golf and much more!
Nangwarry Muesum
Nangwarry has an amazing Forestry Museum which we are actively involved in assisting as often as we can, including donating old machinery & assisting with repairs / admin etc. The museum is run entirely by volunteers who do an excellent job.
Push Up Challenge
In 2023 we raised over $30k as a team doing the push up challenge. The enthusiasm and morale of everyone involved was amazing & even some suppliers who made donations wanted to get involved and did push up videos with us which you can find on our facebook page.
Festive Displays
If you drive through Nangwarry at Christmas time you are likely to come across one of our amazing Xmas displays in the yard where we regularly decorate machinery / tyres etc with lights.
Trademutt Initiative
We are proud to support Trademutt, a great initiative who focus on starting the tough conversations. In recent years PPE shirts have been purchased as a group & have been offered as an ongoing option to employees.
Fun Runs
Some of our employees have enjoyed entering various local fun runs as a team, which many get involved in the local runs. We have also often sponsored employees who have travelled further to running events together.
Albany Log Chop Competition
In 2023, LV Dohnt were sponsors of the Albany Log Chop Competition.
Nangwarry Community
The Nangwarry Community created an artwork in the centre of town (the rings of time), locals took this opportunity to invite Phillip Dohnt to speak & show appreciation for the support shown over the years.
Albany Agricultural Show “Careers in Forestry”
Supporting the forestry industry, we’re proud to showcase the career pathways and connect with our community.
The Nangwarry Pool
When the local pool in Nangwarry was going to be shut down, LV Dohnt joined the ‘save the Nangwarry pool’ committee and the were was heavily involved in the fundraising and discussions with Council around this. The pool is still operational today, it is a free service for the Community and thanks to the committee it has been improved by adding tables, BBQ areas and planting trees.
